It’s a great time to put the ‘on the job’ learning of the last decade into a study programme that will help develop and expand my knowledge and skill. Remember the blessing of voices raised warm and resonant over the bells of silverware and crystal - the laugh that trills and exclamation mark of thrown back head. Take heart in the welcome of dirty plates, bursting flavour and mismatched plates because - the welcome is that kaleidoscopic, flung wide open door and feast-laden table for finding justice and settling old score. May you remember, in quiet office and empty street, staring at the same walls and art - the sky is still a painting on a grey day. Food nourishes even after the weary argument and standoff.
